About the Podcast
Proudly Said is a Scouse-born video podcast hosted by LGBTQ+ activist and community champion John Hyland (he/they). It’s all about real people, real talk, and stories that matter – from identity and activism to grief, joy and everything in between.
Each episode is recorded somewhere that feels comfortable to the guest – no big lights or fancy studios, just honest conversations in familiar spaces. This podcast isn’t about having all the answers – it’s about sharing the mic and making sure more voices are heard, especially the ones that often go ignored.
Whether you’re here for the politics, the personal stories, or just to feel a bit more connected, Proudly Said is for you.
